Calling all experts: Let Your Voice be Heard!

Speaker Application Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit

The Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit (IES) welcomes speaker applications from individuals who are passionate about education, community building, and supporting immigrant business owners and entrepreneurs.

Our events bring together entrepreneurs, small business owners, nonprofit leaders, service providers, educators, and community advocates from many cultural, linguistic, and professional backgrounds. We are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where knowledge is shared generously and respectfully—and where speakers help attendees walk away with practical insights they can apply to their businesses and communities.

If you have experience, expertise, or lived knowledge that can help immigrant entrepreneurs navigate the realities of starting, growing, or sustaining a business, we invite you to apply.

We are anticipating more than 800 attendees in our National Summit, and a few hundred in our Regional and Mini events.

If you have a business topic of expertise to share, submit to be a speaker in the 2026 Summits!

Deadline to Submit: March 31, 2026 (Minnesota Regional), June 1, 2026 (Illinois Regional), July 31, 2026 (National)

Who Should Apply

We encourage applications from speakers of all backgrounds, including but not limited to:

  • Entrepreneurs and small business owners
  • Educators and trainers
  • Nonprofit leaders and community advocates
  • Professionals in finance, accounting, legal, marketing, operations, technology, or workforce development
  • Immigrant leaders and first-generation entrepreneurs
  • Allies who work closely with immigrant-owned businesses

You do not need to be a professional speaker to apply. What matters most is your ability to communicate clearly, your commitment to education, and your respect for diverse perspectives.

Each session is 60-minutes (including Q&A time) and can be done in the following ways:

Meaningful Ways to Engage Beyond Speaking

We encourage prospective speakers to consider pairing their speaking participation with other forms of engagement that support the sustainability and reach of the event, such as:

  • Becoming a sponsor or community partner
  • Hosting an exhibitor table or booth to share resources
  • Volunteering during the event
  • Helping promote the event on social media or through professional networks

These opportunities allow you to deepen your connection with attendees while helping IES continue to offer accessible, high-quality programming.

Participation in these additional activities is optional, but strongly encouraged for those who want to build lasting relationships with our community.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

IES is dedicated to creating spaces where speakers and attendees alike feel respected, welcomed, and valued. We actively seek diverse voices and perspectives and strive to reflect the communities we serve.

All speakers are expected to align with our values of inclusivity, cultural humility, and constructive dialogue.

Important Note About Compensation

Speaking at the Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit is a voluntary opportunity. At this time, we do not offer honorariums or speaker fees.

We are transparent about this because we value mutual respect and clear expectations. Our speakers participate because they believe in the mission of supporting immigrant entrepreneurs and contributing to a stronger, more informed business community.

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit. We appreciate your willingness to share knowledge, support immigrant entrepreneurs, and be part of a growing community committed to opportunity and equity.
